Saturday, November 12, a group of LIA Semarang Imam Bonjol teachers visited an elementary school. We could say that the location was a bit remote. SD Cepoko Gunungpati was our destination. We were curious on the way thinking of what the school and the students were like. Our curiosity was answered quickly right after we entered the school. We saw enthusiastic faces of the students. The teachers welcomed us nicely.

It was a show time. Two groups of teachers taught different classes: 4th and 5th grades. Wow, it was so amazing. Looking at their enthusiasms – from the way they answered our greetings–, we didn’t feel tired after a long trip to the school. None of the students was quiet. They all screamed asking for walking forward to get the questions (or to get the souvenirs????).

In the 4th grade class, we taught about health. The students felt excited to demonstrate their health problems and how a doctor or a dentist treated them.

In the 5th grade, we taught about food. They were even more enthusiastic studying something about food, like pizza, ice cream, etc.

Ms. Arum asked students’ favorite food

Seventy five minutes felt so fast. We didn’t realize that the time was over.

And before we left, we also donated books and realia for the school’s library.

Nice job students! Good job teachers!
Thank you SDN Cepoko Gunungpati for letting us share and learn more.
